About Oldtown Salinas Association

Oldtown Salinas Association, originally established in August, 1977 is a non-profit business organization which promotes and enhances Oldtown Salinas through revitalization programs, business recruitment, community events, advertising, publicity, and business advocacy with local government. Most recently Salinas was certified as a California Main Street Community.

The Association is governed by a 15 Member Board of Directors (listed at right) who are elected for two year terms. Working committees include Government Liaison, Business Recruitment, Image Marketing, Activities, and the Executive Board.

The Association produces a Restaurant Brochure, a Business Directory, Oldtown Calendar of Events, Space Available List, and a periodically publishes the Oldtown Action Newsletter.

Enhancement efforts include coordinating a flowering planter program, maintaining street banners and providing Holiday decorations. Involvement with public safety and parking issues is ongoing.
