Theatre on San Pedro Square (TOSPS), ESTABLISHED JUNE OF 2000!

Michael Smythe and Gary De Mattei turned their dream of bringing a professional theatre company and state of the art venue to their hometown of San Jose into a reality in June of 2000. Working with the great space at The Farmer's Union building on San Pedro Square Smythe and DeMattei renovated the rustic loft (formally known as The Last Laugh) into a flexible and elegant state of the art theatre. Over the last five years the eight-month, 2 million-dollar renovation has given way to some of the best arts and entertainment in the Bay Area.

In addition to its entertainment calendar of professional theatre and entertainment, the venue itself is versatile enough to host a variety of special events including company meetings, film screenings and private parties.
